The Power of Positivity

During your life, have you ever wondered about the mysterious snowflake? Aren't you fascinated with the fact that each snowflake that falls from the sky above and gracefully falls to the ground below has a different form than all the others? Well, this mystery will soon be revealed and along with it, will show us The Power of Our Thoughts.

Dr. Masaru Emoto discovered that thoughts, kind words, and positive attitude not only have a positive affect on us humans, but as well as on water. If you think about it, this actually makes sense because the percentage of water in our bodies are more than half! Here are pictures of Dr. Emoto's discovery using the Fujiwara Dam:

Here is the picture of some water from the Fujiwara Dam BEFORE it was given a blessing:

Here is the SAME water AFTER being given a blessing by a Zen Buddhist:

Amazing, isn't it? When positive thoughts can have such a drastic affect on water, imagine the affect it will have on ourselves! Those of us that are looking for peace of mind and a feeling of relaxation, the key is to have positive and pure thoughts that will keep our mind happy and healthy. We will be content with our life and appreciate whatever comes our way.

Remember, when you are feeling down and aren't satisfied with life, think, "My glass is not half empty, my glass is half full!"

Here is a video that shows some other ways Dr. Emoto went about this miraculous discovery as well as some other fascinating water crystals formed by positivity!

An Unexpected Gift
January 18th, 2010

Turning on my left side to face my alarm clock, I moved my messy hair for a clear view of my helpful yet irritating alarm clock. Oddly enough, the clock was not there and I was forced against my own will to begin a search. As I scoured the room, I began to think that I had accidentally knocked it off in the attempt to make it snooze (as I occasionally do). After searching the entire area, I simply checked the time on my phone - 7:03 A.M.

Suddenly, it hit me that I was supposed to wake up about twenty minutes ago! With a sense of urgency in my mind, I stepped out my bedroom and entered the hall that is usually busy at this hour. That's when the windy gusts of white caught my attention out the hexagon window. The height of me on my tip-toes was just enough to see the spectacle of the sparkling snow which could have been the reason nobody was awake. The thought ran through my head, "How can I find out? I don't want to disturb anyone - but it's Tuesday, the day after the Martin Luther King holiday..."

Although, I didn't have to worry for long, because when Mom came out of her room, I knew I would get the answers to all of my questions. Just then, I was going to ask her about the whereabouts of my alarm clock when she turned around and told me herself: "Oh, and I hope you don't mind that I took your alarm clock. I took it so you wouldn't keep checking the time and ruin your sleep. But I guess that didn't work out too well..." All I did was wrap my arms around her and she received the message. She smiled and lovingly put her comforting hand on my shoulder, saying, " You don't have school today, go back to sleep and then enjoy your day off," The excitement was unbelievable - a four-day weekend!

If it were anyone else, I would not have been able to fall back asleep with the excitement of the unexpected gift. It was the Touch of Mother's Hand that sent a feeling of serenity and calmed me, allowing me to fall back into the World of Dreams...

Thank you Mom.

Silky, Sparkling, Strands

*As you read, please let the enchanting video relax you. Thank you.

"From the enlightenment of music comes the wisdom of...silence."
- Visions of Gregorian Chants

While having this knowledge, I still wonder why this is so. Is it because music helps you realize the importance of silence?

Silky, Sparkling, Strands

I hear the whistling of the falling water, so whimsical.

I can hear it whistling in contentment,
as it falls free, free from the world.

I can sense the scent of the sparkling strands,
as the miraculous mist fills the ambiance.

I can feel the whimsical gestures,
of the silky, sparkling, strands,
flowing against the rigid rock.

The cataract comforts me when I feel restless.
Its soft, sweet, and melodious tune calms the anxious mind.
It is the medicine of nature that can relax the most disturbed minds.

Does the sound of a waterfall enlighten you? Does it make you feel, that for a moment, everything is simply perfect?
That is the Magic of the Musical Mist!

When you enjoy something and simply forget about the world, you are in the present moment...and living each moment to its fullest is the key to the Gate of Contentment.

The waterfall flows with endless possibilities.
Live your life with endless possibilities.

Crafty Counterfeiters - Part II
When these Crafty Counterfeiters copy off of someone, they have no idea what GIGANTIC secret they just spilled about themselves.
The fact that they are not mature just entered the world and will never be forgotten, just like the Internet. Once something enters cyberspace, it is never erased. Also, they are showing that they are not yet mature enough to produce their own unique, creative writing. They are also expressing that they underestimate their capabilities to write or do anything whatsoever!
More so, there will be a permanent impression of your crime on the victim. As for me, I am the type of person who lives in the present and tries to forget the past - even though writing this piece is bringing back those unwanted memories.

The Good
I am also the type of person that likes to find the best out of every situation. In this case, I felt that this incident trained me for life ahead. Life is filled with all sorts of people that will try to gain many things out of you. This incident has also shown me how to deal with situations without hurting the feelings of others.

So whenever this episode of my life is replayed, I know the right button to push: Stop.

Crafty Counterfeiters - Part I

When did the copying campaign establish and everyone join?

As my parents were growing up in the times where teachers would carry sticks or rulers in their hand just in case someone peeked over at the paper next to them, copying was a crime.
Now, when people copy off of each other, it just seems like one of those normal things. Honestly, why would you let someone copy your hard work? It even happens with appearances! Just be yourself!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being yourself...nothing!
Still, people tend to do the opposite.
Take this incident as an example:

Even before, I had the same passion as I have now; writing. In school, we had writing journals, and in those, we wrote all of our stories no matter what the genre. My teacher would occasionally make copies of the students’ writing who she though met or exceeded her expectations. For some reason, it felt like my ‘friend’ kept track of my writing status.
When we would have to choose our partner for a peer editing session, this person would always come up to me and ask to be my partner. Of course I couldn’t say no and it sort of made me feel appreciated...but she had this weird expression on her face every time.
As time went on, I noticed that my writing style could be seen in ‘her’ writing. She got the credit for the writing when it actually belonged to me. This really irked me and I would not and could not stand this treatment anymore.
To solve this situation, I went and paired up with some of my other friends the next time to kindly indicate my message to her.
She is still my friend, but our friendship changed in a weird sort of way after that; in a way I can’t describe.

A New Year, a New You

In just a matter of hours the 365th day of 2010 will come to an end with a grand welcoming of 2011! Here in America, the welcoming of a new year is celebrated by the dropping of the ball in New York City's Time Square.
Every year as I would watch this lit-up ball slowly make its way down for the last few seconds of the year, I would always wonder what this ball symbolized. Clearly, there isn't a universal meaning of this ball but there are many interpretations. In my mind, this ball symbolizes every moment of the year. This is because once that ball falls down, it never comes back up. The time that was spent in 2010 will never be regained; the reason why time should be spent wisely.
What do we do in our spare time? Do we spend it wisely? Of course, you can enjoy life, but enjoying it at the right time is very essential. The other part is working hard to be the best you can be. When you achieve the successful outcome of your hard work, that brings moments of enjoyment.

That is the way to enjoy a balanced, relaxed lifestyle.

Speaking of successful outcomes, I'd like to announce the winner of my Holiday Contest.....Vaishnavi!

Vaishnavi may have been the only one who entered my contest, but to me, that should be rewarded.
Sooner or later, effort is always rewarded.

On this note, I'd like to conclude my last post of 2010 with a little thank you to all the people who support me, including my readers:

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your informative advice that has encouraged me even more in life.

Thank you for always being there by my side, through thick and thin.

Thank you for EVERYTHING.

With Sincerity,
Rishika

The Secret of a Snow Globe

Staring at my serene snow globe in a manner of mystery and wonder, I admired the sleek, silver, flawless form of the reindeer paused in a prancing position. As I turned the globe of snow upside down, tiny, shiny, pieces of glitter gracefully floated like feathers - once again blanketing the surface. Once again I turn it upside down, and once again the glitter falls. The glitter shimmers like the diamond ring of a solar eclipse, so magnificent yet indescribable. If only, I wondered, if only everyone could experience The Secret of a Snow Globe and recognize the value of it, the world would be a better place. That's when I figured out that experiencing this secret is possible, and by anyone. I also realized that the scene of a snow globe can be anything - even though it has the word 'snow' in it.
It happened on the day I marveled at the chirping robins, blooming flowers, and luscious green grass swaying along with the wind. As I admired these marvelous sights, it occurred to me that this scene was fit to be in a snow globe. Just because the term 'snow' resides in 'snow globe', many people think that all snow globes consist of only one season; winter. The reality is that snow globes come in all the different seasons and even for events such as weddings, holidays, birthdays, and even more!
That is the reason why cherishing memories and capturing magical moments is important. You can imagine those memories as the ambience of your snow globe and keep it forever - and as those memories remain in your snow globe, the transition of new seasons will bring new memories to make even more snow globes to add to your collection.

May your collection of snow globes increase everyday.

The Scent of Serenity

The Storm of Serenity leaves a remarkable reward of a radiant rainbow. Many of us feel that the 'gloomy' Serenity Storm causes us to take depression pills. The reality is simply this; there is no such thing as depression. It is just the negative thoughts that overtake the few positive thoughts in our mind and our mind being overactive.
If you ever remember standing out in the rain, even for a few seconds, do you remember a blissful, indescribable, sweet scent that filled your nose and spilled inside your soul, clearing it of all impurities? Have you ever wondered what that fragrance was? Well readers, that soul-purifying aroma is The Scent of Serenity. How and why is it The Scent of Serenity? Read on and the mystery will reveal itself.
When your soul is energetic and immersed in inspiration, you feel serene. Your mind is clear of all impurities and that lightweight feeling just can't be described. This is because Mother Nature is purifying the soil; which is also us.

 Soil=Soul

Every little drop that falls from the clouds up in the sky purifies not only soil that it lands on but even cleanses roads, sidewalks, windows, and other objects by lifting the dirt from them and storing it within themselves. When they evaporate, the tiny droplets drift off, carrying the excess weight of impurities.

The same thing happens with our souls; we inhale this marvelous scent and it fills our souls. The Magical Potion is only a temporary cleanser. To make our souls pure forever, our thoughts should be pure because thoughts lead to actions, and actions lead to results. The outcome of your results will depend on your thoughts.

Up in your nose I go, going where all the impurities flow...
